How do I create a group?
Open the app and tap the "+" button on the Dashboard. Give your group a name and optionally add an emoji or currency, then invite your friends via the invite link.
How do I invite people to a group?
Open the group, go to Group Settings, and tap "Share Invite Link". Anyone who opens the link will be taken directly into the app and added to the group.
Can I use different currencies for expenses?
Yes! When adding an expense, tap the currency button next to the amount. You can enter the expense in any supported currency and GetEven will automatically convert it to the group's base currency using the latest exchange rate.
How are splits calculated?
You can split expenses equally, by specific amounts, or by percentages. GetEven always rounds to whole numbers and adjusts the last person to absorb any rounding differences.
How do I settle up?
On the Dashboard, tap "Settle Up". GetEven calculates the minimum number of payments needed to balance the group. You can then send a payment request via Swish, Vipps, MobilePay, Revolut, or mark it as settled directly.
What happens if I was removed from a group?
You will receive a notification in your Notifications tab informing you that you have been removed. Your personal balance history remains accessible.
How do I delete an expense?
Open the expense from the group feed, then tap the trash icon in the top-right corner. Note that only the person who created the expense or group admins can delete it.
Is my data private?
Yes. All data is stored securely in your account and is only accessible to members of your groups. We never sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Account Settings (tap your avatar on the Dashboard) and scroll to the bottom. Tap "Delete Account". This permanently removes all your data.
